Don Carlos received a delegation from Spain in his Loredán palace in Venice where he showed them a portrait for the Circle of Estella. "I envy this portrait; it is happier than I am: it is going to Estella; however God willing, I hope that some day I shall once again kneel before the Virgin del Puy"
